Office Politics #04

If you are going to ask someone a question it is only polite that you let them answer you question. Rolling you eyes at someone because they are answering your question is rude and only makes YOU look like an idiot.

My question to you is; Why ask someone a question if you do not want to know their answer??

Some people are just so petty!

I put together a Mothers day hamper which is to be raffled for our teams end of year Christmas Party. As my desk was crammed full of work, I placed the hamper on a central table so that it could be on display for everyone to see. My co worker decided that she would move it out of the way into the corner because the Mother’s day hamper was out shining the banana cake she made…

It is not cool to try and micromanage someone, especially when the person doesn’t even report to you. It is even more rude when that person is your team member!

Random Tid,bit #01

People watching is very interesting, today i spied a young lady wearing Leopard print leggings, ugg boots, a Zebra pattern shirt and a Panda shaped beanie.

Either this person was confused about what animal they wanted to be or they got lost in the zoo…

Office Politics #01

It is not cool to speak to a fellow co worker in a condescending tone when they have made a mistake. Especially when the co worker had no idea that they had even made a mistake and no instructions were even communicated.

If I am not told something how am I suppose to know not to action it if it comes into my inbox. In saying this what makes you think you can speak to me to me in such a rude way…

Office Etiquette #01

If you are going to be away from your desk or computer for more then 5 minutes:

PLEASE CLOSE DOWN ALL YOUR EXCEL AND WORD DOC FILES!

It is really annoying when I need to update something in the file and cannot contact the person to ask them to close the file down.

And really if you are not even using the file why have it open!!!!!

Its just not cool…

Easter Bunny History

The Easter bunny has its origin in pre-Christian fertility lore. The Hare and the Rabbit were the most fertile animals known and they served as symbols of the new life during the Spring season.
The bunny as an Easter symbol seems to have it’s origins in Germany, where it was first mentioned in German writings in the 1500s. The first edible Easter bunnies were made in Germany during the early 1800s. These were made of pastry and sugar.

The Easter bunny was introduced to American folklore by the German settlers who arrived in the Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 1700s. The arrival of the “Oschter Haws” was considered “childhood’s greatest pleasure” next to a visit from Christ-Kindel on Christmas Eve. The children believed that if they were good the “Oschter Haws” would lay a nest of colored eggs.
The children would build their nest in a secluded place in the home, the barn or the garden. Boys would use their caps and girls their bonnets to make the nests . The use of elaborate Easter baskets would come later as the tradition of the Easter bunny spread through out the country.
